Hospira Bacteriostatic Water
Hospira Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, multiple-dose diluent containing 0.9% (9 mg/mL) benzyl alcohol added as a bacteriostatic preservative. The preservative inhibits microbial growth, allowing repeated sterile withdrawals from a single sealed vial when aseptic technique is followed. Supplied in a 30 mL multiple-dose vial.

- Long-term storage: −20°C or below, in an airtight container, protected from light
- Short-term storage: 2–8°C for up to 4 weeks, if not yet reconstituted
- Reconstituted solutions: store at 4°C and use within 48–72 hours, or aliquot and freeze at −80°C
